Punjab & Sind Bank has announced 1,000 vacancies<\/strong> for Local Bank Officers (LBO) in JMGS-I scale. Applications opened on 31 March 2026 and the last date to apply is 20 April 2026<\/strong>. That’s a tight 20-day window \u2014 so the first thing you need to do before anything else is check whether you actually qualify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Age Limit<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Your age must be between 20 and 30 years as on 01 March 2026<\/strong>. In terms of birth dates, you must have been born between 02 March 1996 and 01 March 2006<\/strong> (both dates inclusive).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So for example, an SC\/ST candidate can be up to 35 years old. An OBC (NCL) candidate can be up to 33 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Educational Qualification<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You need a Graduation degree in any discipline<\/strong> from a university recognised by the Government of India. There is no stream restriction \u2014 Commerce, Science, Arts, Engineering \u2014 all are acceptable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You must have your degree certificate or valid marksheet in hand at the time of registration and must be able to indicate your graduation percentage while filling the online application form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note on Percentage:<\/strong> The official notification requires a Graduation degree from a recognised university. Some sources have mentioned 60% for General\/EWS\/OBC and 55% for SC\/ST\/PwBD as standard bank norms \u2014 always verify the exact percentage requirement from the official notification PDF at punjabandsind.bank.in<\/strong> before applying, as this can vary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Work Experience \u2014 The Most Important Condition<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is the eligibility condition that filters out most applicants. You must have a minimum of 18 months of post-qualification branch experience as an Officer<\/strong> in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or a Regional Rural Bank (RRB) listed in the 2nd Schedule of the RBI. This experience must be calculated as on 20 April 2026<\/strong> (the last date of application).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
