This apprenticeship program offers graduates an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on banking experience with one of India\u2019s leading public sector banks. A total of <strong>5,138 apprenticeship seats<\/strong> have been announced across various States and Union Territories . The PNB Apprenticeship program is purely a <strong>training engagement for one year<\/strong> and does not confer any right to permanent employment in the Bank. date: <strong>1st week of March 2026<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cut-off date for age and educational qualification: <strong>01 January 2026<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates must complete their application process within the prescribed timeline, as no requests for extension will be entertained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PNB Apprenticeship Vacancy Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Punjab National Bank has notified <strong>5,138 apprenticeship seats<\/strong> in total, distributed state-wise, circle-wise, and category-wise across India .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Category-wise Seat Distribution<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Out of the total 5,138 seats, the reservation breakup is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scheduled Caste (SC): <strong>887 seats<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scheduled Tribe (ST): <strong>294 seats<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other Backward Classes (OBC): <strong>1,110 seats<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Economically Weaker Section (EWS): <strong>464 seats<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unreserved (UR): <strong>2,383 seats<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, <strong>204 seats<\/strong> are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), equally distributed among:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Visually Impaired (VI): 51<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hearing Impaired (HI): 51<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Orthopedically Challenged (OH): 52<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intellectual Disability (ID): 51<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of seats mentioned is provisional and may vary depending on the bank\u2019s operational requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PNB Apprenticeship Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Nationality<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates must be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A citizen of India, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries with an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India .<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Age Limit<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum age: <strong>20 years<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maximum age: <strong>28 years<\/strong> (as on 01.01.2026)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SC\/ST: 5 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>OBC (Non-creamy layer): 3 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PwBD: 10 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Widows\/divorced women: up to 35\u201340 years depending on category .<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Educational Qualification<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Candidates must possess a <strong>graduate degree in any discipline<\/strong> from a recognised university.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The result must have been declared on or before <strong>31 December 2025<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Candidates applying under NATS must have completed graduation <strong>not more than 4 years<\/strong> prior to 01.01.2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in the <strong>local language of the applied State\/UT<\/strong> is mandatory .<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Duration of PNB Apprenticeship Training<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The total duration of the apprenticeship is <strong>one year (12 months)<\/strong>, which includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>2 weeks of Basic Training<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>50 weeks of On-the-Job Training<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PNB Apprenticeship Stipend<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Selected apprentices will receive a <strong>monthly stipend<\/strong> as follows :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rural \/ Semi-Urban \/ Urban branches: <strong>\u20b912,300 per month<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Metro branches: <strong>\u20b915,000 per month<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>No additional allowances or employee benefits such as PF, ESI, bonus, or medical facilities will be provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Selection Process for PNB Apprenticeship<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The selection process includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Online written examination<\/strong> conducted through BFSI SSC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Merit-based shortlisting<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Document verification<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates who successfully complete the training and final assessment will be issued an <strong>Apprenticeship Certificate<\/strong>. However, completion of apprenticeship does <strong>not guarantee employment<\/strong> in PNB .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PNB Apprenticeship Application Process<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates must apply online through:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>PNB official website, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BFSI Sector Skill Council of India portal (bfsissc.com)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants are required to upload documents such as Aadhaar, photograph, graduation certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and PwBD certificate (if applicable).
