In other words, it is a loan that is not generating income for the lender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is classified into the following three categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Substandard Assets<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assets that have been classified as Non-Performing Assets for a duration of 12 months or less are referred to as&nbsp;<strong>Substandard Assets<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Doubtful Assets<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If the asset remains in the substandard category for a period of 12 months, it is categorized as&nbsp;a <strong>Doubtful Asset<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Loss Assets<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Those assets which have become uncollectible and are no longer continue as a&nbsp;<strong>Bankable Assets<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Example<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A home loan is disbursed on March 1, 2021, with monthly EMIs due on the 5th of every month.
