Let present age of Avantika and Anamika be X years and Y years respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let present age of Garima and Yogesh be 5x years and 6x years respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[(5x + 6) + (6x + 6)]\/2 = 28<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11x + 12 = 56<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11x = 44<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desired ratio = (5x \u2013 8):(6x \u2013 8) = 12:16 = 3:4<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let the present age of A and B be \u2018x\u2019 years and \u2018y\u2019years respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

x + y \u2013 12 = 60<\/p>\n\n\n\n

x + y = 72 —–(i)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(x + 4)\/(y + 4) = 9\/11<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11x \u2013 9y = -8 —–(ii)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On solving (i) and (ii), we get<\/p>\n\n\n\n

x = 32 and y = 40<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, B\u2019s present age is 40 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solution 7: A)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let the present ages of Akash and Itij be 7x years and 5x years, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, the present age of Gaurav = 7x \u2013 3 years<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Present age of Priya = 5x + 5 years<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to question: 7x + 5x + 7x \u2013 3 + 5x + 5 = 4 \u00d7 24.5<\/p>\n\n\n\n

24x + 2 = 98<\/p>\n\n\n\n

24x = 96<\/p>\n\n\n\n

x = 4<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, the present ages of Priya, Gaurav, Akash and Itij are 25 years, 25 years, 28 years and 20 years respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
