Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) – Entry Level

This is the entry-level job where you just join the job, the revised basic pay is ₹53,600/- per month, with annual increments of ₹2,640/- till you reach ₹64,425, then increments of ₹2,865/- till ₹1,02,090. Whereas the gross salary is approximately ₹1,20,000 per month, and it largely depends on the posting location. The allowances and perks include House Rent Allowance, which is approximately 7%-9%. Dearness allowance is revised quarterly as per inflation. Other benefits include a defined pension, medical facilities, LTC, gratuity, housing loan, and group insurance. The work profile largely depends on the stream they have been chosen into, such as IT, Actuarial, Finance, or Rajbhasha, Generalist. The tasks that you need to perform under the role of AAO are Customer service, underwriting, claims settlement, and branch support. Administrative Officer

The next post that will be acquired after AAO is AO. Basic pay for the post is approximately ₹63,000 – ₹1,15,000, whereas the in-hand salary is approximately. ₹1,05,000 – ₹1,15,000. The work of an AO is to supervise AAOs, manage branch operations, higher responsibilities & perks.

ADM (Assistant Divisional Manager)

The basic pay of ADM is approx ₹75,000 – ₹1,25,000. In-hand salary is approx ₹1,20,000 – ₹1,35,000. The work of an ADM is to oversee multiple branches, staff management, and policy execution. One can become ADM after 5-7 years of service. 

DM (Divisional Manager)

The basic pay of a divisional manager is approx ₹85,000 – ₹1,40,000, whereas the In-hand salary is approx ₹1,40,000 – ₹1,55,000. The divisional manager is the Head of a division, and he/she is responsible for sales targets, growth, and profitability.

Sr. DM / Zonal Manager

The basic pay structure of a zonal manager is approx ₹1,00,000 – ₹1,60,000. Talking about the in-hand salary is approx ₹1,60,000 – ₹1,80,000. It is a Senior leadership role in which you have to manage zones/divisions, a big jump in perks and official benefits.

Executive Director (ED)

The basic pay is approximately ₹1,20,000 – ₹1,90,000. The in-hand salary is approx ₹1,90,000 – ₹2,20,000. The role and responsibility of an ED is to make decisions at the national level. The role is among the top management. 

Managing Director (MD) / Chairman

The salary of the managing director is approximately ₹2,25,000+. The MD is a government-appointed post with the highest privileges and perks.
