‘PM Changed My Life’, says Prabal Katyal; Cleared IBPS PO

He has shared his story with us where he describes the strategies he followed for different sections. He has also briefed us on how he coped up with the difficulties he faced. PM: Congratulations on your success! Please brief us on when did you start preparing for the competitive exams and how was your preparation journey.

Prabal: Thanks! I started in 2019 but due to my family’s financial conditional, I left it! But in October, 2020 I started again and cleared 6 exams.

PM: Which exams did you appear in till date and what were their results?

Prabal: Below are the details:

• IBPS PO 2020 – Cleared
• JK Bank PO 2020 – Cleared
• JK Bank Associate 2020 – Cleared
• IBPS Clerk Prelims 2020 – Cleared
• RRB Clerk 2020 – Cleared

PM: How did you prepare for the English section?

Prabal: I only took the help of The Hindu.

PM: How did you prepare for the Quantitative Aptitude section?

Prabal: By solving mocks and by giving tuitions! I cleared my core concepts from the base of maths.

PM: How did you prepare for the Reasoning section?

Prabal: Through PracticeMock mocks which is more than sufficient and exam-oriented for every student

PM: How did you prepare for the General Awareness section?

PM: What was your overall strategy? Did you follow a study schedule? If yes, please share the details.

Prabal: My strategy :

• To study only exam oriented thing by not wasting time on so many platforms.
• I used to give 3 mocks a day resulting in 6000 questions every month.
• To make it simple and basic because banking exams are not about too much knowledge they deal with concepts only and it is us who make it complex.

PM: Did you face any hurdle as well? How did you overcome it?

Prabal: Yes. In 2019 my father was not well and he has lost his job and my mother is a small scale tailor only.

So, money was a hurdle in my case because it somehow helps you in arranging resources you required of and sometimes you don’t get what you needed in the precious time.

I knew that if will do something and get myself employed in a sector related to study I can continue my preparation. So I started giving tution in the morning and I studied throughout the night by sleeping 5 hours only.

This is how I made daily bread as well as some output in preparation.

PM: How did PracticeMock help you?

Prabal: PM! Haha! It is the one who changed my life because I have gone through so many mocks but I found it exam-oriented only.

I used to give mocks only and the content was best in the business. 

It raises a sense of behaviour for the real exam.

PM: What’s your message for the fellow aspirants who are preparing for competitive exams?

Prabal: I will say “no matter what happens in your life, it is you only who is going to decide it is the end of the story or not”

Never ever give up because look at the struggle of your mom and dad if they were thinking like us in a stage we are now, then???

So believe in you only, because it is you only who will get you success no one else.
