PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH BANKING EXAMS AND THE RESULTS!

Hi friends,  This is Nagendra K. I was working in a private company after completing my B.Tech(Food Technology). I started preparing for banking exams by myself in March 2018. I wrote 1st banking exam IBPS RRB PO 2018 and cracked prelims but  I could not clear Mains, so I took a big risk of leaving my job and drown myself into full-time preparations. Below is the compiled list of my past experience:
  • IBPS RRB 2018– Out in Mains
  • IBPS PO – Out in 0.75 marks in Pre
  • IBPS Clerk – Out in Mains 2.6 Marks
  • IBPS AFO – Out in Mains 3 Marks
  • Karnataka Bank PO  – Selected
  • LIC AAO – Price cleared but Not attending mains

PREPARATION STRATEGIES FOR ENGLISH, QUANT, REASONING, CURRENT AFFAIRS & GENERAL AWARENESS

QUANT

I gone through the Vedic maths and I brushed up the basic concepts and practised random questions on those topics without any time-limit. Once I did enough practice, I switched to solving sectional tests of PracticeMock/Grade up. There’s a substantial difference between solving questions with pen-paper and solving them in front of a computer screen which I realized at that point in time. I watched Meritshine videos which helped me a lot in concept-clarity.  Practice daily speed maths and DI(Game changer)

REASONING

My strongest part

I watched videos online(Talents print) and practised a lot of questions. The strategy for this section wasn’t much different from that of Quants section. I practised a lot of questions on an a daily basis (Puzzle most important one) and once I was confident, I switched to solving sectional tests. Practice is the only way to strengthen these section.

ENGLISH

I’m weak in this subject but I followed analysing the mock test (Practice mock and Grade up) and Reading Newspaper.

CURRENT AFFAIRS & GENERAL AWARENESS

PracticeMock’s collection of 500+ CA questions and Grade up capsule helped me a lot. I knew retention was the key to sail past this section smoothly and therefore I made a point to make my own notes and started revising them on an once-in-3/4-days basis. For Static Gk I followed Grade up static capsule.

*Weekly capsule are better to read and I followed the same and don’t neglect these section this one is most important one to crack any bank exam.

OTHER INFORMATION

Remember GA can be a game changer. Analysis of mocks is much more important than just taking them. DO NOT wait for the prelims result to come, start preparing for Mains. Don’t get demotivated any time…(Watch any motivational videos atleast once in a month it will help). Relax your body/Mind and Maintain Good food habits.

All the best friends….

Thank you Practice Mock and Grade up. Thank you family and friends directly or indirectly helped me to achieve this.
