Strategy to Approach ESI & FM Descriptive Papers for RBI Grade B Phase 2

As we all know that RBI Grade B phase 1 exam is now over and phase 2 is scheduled for April 1, 2021 it leaves only 16 days in hand for the exam preparation. RBI Grade B is quite an important exam thus, those who are preparing for RBI Grade B phase 2 must focus on the exam preparation by practicing as many mock tests as possible and by knowing the strategy to approach the ESI & FM descriptive paper. There is an additional descriptive papers in Phase 2 of the RBI Grade B 2021 examination and one must prepare well for it. The fundamentals of the same are to be understood well. Descriptive Questions Categories of Topics

The descriptive questions for both the ESI and FM can be categorized into three categories:

  • Static & Current Affairs based questions
  • Static questions that are conceptual based
  • Current Affairs based questions
  • Opinions based questions that are mostly on the Social Issues

Economic & Social Issues (ESI) Descriptive Paper Approach

  • All important topics/concepts are to be understood well and should be practiced from time to time.
  • Keep a track of all important events, schemes, policies and reports and other current affairs on a daily basis.
  • Cover current affairs of at least past 6 months
  • Ensure that you prepare proper notes on current affairs including important points in the Union Budget and Economic Survey.
  • Opinion based questions will be mostly asked from the social issues section and these questions are to be justified. Spend some time to prepare for such questions.
  • Practice few such questions before facing the actual examination.

Finance & Management (F&M) Descriptive Paper Approach

  • Start with the management section. The descriptive questions from this would be static in nature and for this you will have to be thorough with the concepts.
  • Read each chapter carefully and make a note of the keywords for each chapter.
  • Current affairs related topics are to be prepared well for the Finance section. The current affairs that are in the news lately and other static topics are to be prepared well.
  • Build your answers around these keywords that you have list down.
  • Practice similar questions before facing the actual examination.
