SSC MTS- General Awareness Last Minute Revision Tips

  • The best part about this section is that unlike reasoning & numerical aptitude, you don’t have to do lengthy calculations.
  • Since your answers will be completely based on your memory, there will be no question answered incorrectly because of calculation error.
  • When you see a GA question, you either know its answer or you don’t know it. Therefore GA questions take less time to be answered.
  • Ensure that you only answer those questions, whose answer you are sure of. You can guess the answers of some questions but keep in mind that there is a negative marking of 0.25 mark. So don’t do the guesswork for too many questions otherwise your score will get affected.
  • Start revising your notes and other GK PDFs now. Only memorizing & timely revision can help you score more in this section.
  • Keep making notes of the important points as you revise the notes again & again. If you jot them down in your own handwriting, it will help you in memorizing them.
  • Don’t forget to revise important Static Banking Awareness topics.
  • Revise the Weekly CA PDFs of the past 6-7 months. It’s often been observed that a majority of the current affairs questions are asked from the past 6-7 months.
  • Revise the Monthly CA Capsules to cover any topic which you might have missed otherwise.
  • Some questions are also asked from Static GK topics. Revise them as well.
  • Ensure that you have covered these Static GK Topics:
    • India and its Neighboring Countries
    • Award-Winning Books
    • Sports
    • History
    • Culture
    • Geography
    • Economics Scene
    • General Polity, including Indian Constitution
    • Current Affairs, Science – Inventions & Discoveries
    • Awards and Honors
    • Scientific Research
    • Static General Knowledge
  • Continue taking mock tests. Check out how many GA questions’ answers you knew beforehand. Make a note of the new questions and keep revising them as well.
  • Take CA Quizzes on the PM platform.
  • Last but not least, have a look at the past years’ questions of this exam and other banking to get a hang of the types of questions which are asked.

These are some really important tips following which will definitely help you score more in the General Awareness section of ssc mts. Remember: there are only few days left and if you need to devote 4-5 hours in the revision of this section, so be it. Good performance in this section will work wonders for your overall score.
