Level-7 (Rs. 44900-142400/-)

The Junior Engineer in this level gets a basic pay of Rs. 44,900 with grade pay of Rs. 4,600. The total in-hand salary after all the deductions is around Rs. 56,700 to Rs. 63,200.

Level-8 (Rs. 47600-151100/-)

The Junior Engineer in this level gets a basic pay of Rs. 47,600 with grade pay of Rs. 4,800. The total in-hand salary after all the deductions is around Rs. 60,500 to Rs. 67,600.

Allowances and Perks for SSC JE 2023

  • Dearness Allowance (DA): The DA is given to compensate for the rising cost of living. It is revised twice a year, in January and July, based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The current DA rate is 17%.
