SSC JE 2023 Exam-How to Apply and Application Fee?
Given below are the points that you need to keep in mind before applying for the SSC JE 2023 exam:
- Apply online only at https://ssc.nic.in. See Annexure-III and Annexure-IV for detailed instructions. Annexure-IIIA and Annexure-IVA show sample forms.
- Upload a colour photo in JPEG/JPG format (20 KB to 50 KB). Size: 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). Photo should be less than three months old as per Supreme Court Order dated 05.03.2020 [Writ Petition © No.234 of 2018]. No cap or spectacles. Face should be clear. If photo is not as per instructions, application will be rejected or cancelled. See Annexure-XV for examples.
- Upload a signature in JPEG/JPG format (10 to 20 KB). Size: 4.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height). Blurred signatures will be rejected.
- Last date and time for online applications: 16.08.2023 (2300 hours).
- Submit applications early to avoid website issues.
- SSC is not responsible for any problems in submitting applications.
- Check all details before submitting the online application.
- Fee: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only).
- No fee for women, SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates.
- Pay fee online only through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card.
- Make sure SSC receives your fee. If not, application status will be ‘Incomplete’. Check ‘Payment Status’ link in your login screen. Incomplete applications will be REJECTED. No requests for fee payment after the deadline will be entertained.
- Fee is non-refundable and non-adjustable.

Application Form Correction Window
- Application Form Correction Window [17.08.2023 to 18.08.2023 (2300 hours)]:
- You can correct/modify your one-time registration/online application data for 02 days after the closing date.
- You can fix your application data twice during the correction window [17.08.2023 to 18.08.2023 (2300 hours)].
- Correction fee: ₹ 200/- for first time, ₹ 500/- for second time. All candidates have to pay.
- Pay online only through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card.
- Make sure SSC gets your fee. If not, application status will be ‘Incomplete’. Your previous application will be valid.
- Check all details before submitting the corrected application. No changes allowed after the correction window. SSC will ignore any requests for changes.
