  • SSC CHSL Tier-I would consist of 25 questions in each section but addition of computer section consisting of 20 questions which would be qualifying can be expected in the updated pattern.
  • It can be expected in SSC CHSL Exam that Mains would be compiled together with SSC CHSL Tier-I Exam.
  • Currently SSC CHSL consists of 100 questions with segregation of 25 questions each for English, reasoning, Quant, and General Awareness, but we can surely expect 20 questions in Quant, Reasoning, English, General Awareness and a major change of +20 Questions in Computer section.
  • It might be a possibility that like SSC CGL 2022, similar changes are made in SSC CHSL e.g., it might compile SSC CHSL Tier-I & Tier- II & conduct Tier-III separately.
  •  According to the New Exam Pattern of SSC CGL Tier-2 exam will be conducted in 3 phases- Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3. Candidates must go through the Tier-wise exam pattern mentioned below. Therefore, expecting that Tier-I would be conducted in 3 phases wouldn’t be a surprise.

SSC CHSL Tier-I Marking Scheme

Skill Test for DEO is a test which is designed to test the data entry speed of the candidate such that the candidate should have the data entry speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour on the computer. The test is conducted for a timespan of 15 minutes in which the candidate should enter data of 2000- 2,000 words on the computer.

Skill Test for DEO (Grade-A) is a test conducted for candidates trying to get into office of Comptroller and Auditor general should have a speed of 15,000 Key depressions per hour. Each candidate is assigned a printed matter of 3,700-4000 words which to have to enter in the computer within 15 minutes.

Typing Test for LDC/JSA and PA/SA

The typing test is given in both English and Hindi. Candidates must indicate their preferred test medium when completing the SSC CHSL application form. If a candidate does not select a medium when filling out the CHSL application, he or she will be required to take an English typing test by default.

Candidates must be able to type at least 35 words per minute (in English medium) and 30 words per minute (in Spanish medium) in the typing test (in Hindi medium). “The speed will be determined by the accuracy of typing on a computer of a given text passage in 10 minutes,” according to the official announcement. The typing test will last 10 minutes.
