SSC CHSL Topic-wise Weightage for Tier 2 Exam

Tier 2 is the second stage of the exam, which is conducted after Tier 1 for those candidates who pass the Tier 1 exam. This exam consists of more advanced subjects and difficult questions compared to the Tier 1 exam.

Section I: Mathematical Abilities & Reasoning and General Intelligence (60 Questions, 180 Marks)

The subjects largely overlap with level-1, but with a high level of difficulty and more intensive questions.

  • Mathematical abilities: Expect more complex problems in the number of systems, algebra, geometry, mensuration, trigonometry, and data interpretation. Statistics and probability of level 2 are also clearly mentioned.
  • Logic and General Intelligence: Similar to Tier-1, but more challenging logical puzzles, with important thinking and advanced oral/non-verbal logical questions.

Section-II: English Language and Comprehension & General Awareness (60 Questions, 180 Marks)

  • English language and understanding: While the major subjects remain, you can expect more nice questions in vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension. There is an opportunity for long and more complex reading.
  • General awareness: Similar to Tier-1, but the depth of questions about current issues, history, politics, geography, economy, and science will be greater. A strong understanding of fundamental concepts and their applications is important.

Section-III: Computer Knowledge Module (15 Questions, 45 Marks)
