SSC has decided to conduct the SSC CHSL 2025 Tier-I exam starting from 12th November 2025. It’s time to shift your focus from studying new topics to smart practice and revision. If you’ve already covered the syllabus, now is the moment to test your preparation with section-wise quizzes that target the highest-scoring topics. In this blog, we have provided SSC CHSL practice tests for all four sections: General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. These tests are designed to help you revise, improve speed, and boost accuracy in the last days of the exam.

SSC CHSL Section-wise Practice Tests, Attempt Free Topic-wise Tests

Your SSC CHSL Tier-I exam is literally just days away (starting from 12th November 2025). You’re past the stage of learning new things. Right now, your main task is to focus on the most scoring topics, revision, and practice. For that, we have provided free SSC CHSL practice tests for each section of the Tier 1 exam.

SSC CHSL Quantitative Aptitude Practice Tests

This section feels tough because of the time limit, but these topics are fixed. If you practice them seriously, then you can increase your chances of scoring good marks in this section.

  • Percentage: This is not just one topic; it’s the foundation for other topics. If you know that 1/5 = 20% instantly, you skip writing 20/100 and save a few seconds. Spend at least 20 minutes converting basic fractions to percentages without looking at your notes. It will speed up Profit/Loss and DI instantly.
  • Ratio & Proportion: Ratio questions appear everywhere, such as in mixtures, partnerships, and age problems. The logic is simple: keep the relationship constant. Don’t just solve. Look for the quickest way to balance the ratio using a common factor. This is a huge time-saver.
  • Profit, Loss & Discount: These are “straight formula” topics. The questions are designed to check if you remember the difference between Cost Price (CP) and Selling Price (SP). Make a tiny list of the 5 main formulas (like successive discount) and check it daily. Don’t let a simple formula error cost you 2 marks.
  • Simplification & Approximation: These are direct questions, often 3 to 4 of them. They are basically free marks! They check your basic math (BODMAS rule). Do a 10-minute daily challenge on mental math. Mistakes are normal in these questions. For that, we suggest that sharpening your ability to calculate quickly is the fastest way to gain time in the entire Quant section.
  • Data Interpretation (DI): DI is where you apply all the tricks you learned in Percentage, Ratio, and Average. It comes as a set of 4-5 questions. Practice reading the chart first (what do the bars show?). Don’t jump to the questions. This habit improves your accuracy dramatically and guarantees 8-10 marks.

SSC CHSL General Intelligence & Reasoning Practice Tests

Reasoning is the section where you must aim for 100% accuracy. The logic is fixed, and if you spot it fast, you save time for quant.

  • Analogy & Classification (Odd One Out): You can expect at least 2-3 questions. The logic is simple: squares, cubes, opposites, or categories. Take 5 minutes to look at past questions. Practice in a way that your eyes instantly check for a Square or Cube pattern first, as this is the most common SSC trick.
  • Series (Number & Alphabet): Series questions are like mini-puzzles. They trick you by making you stare at them too long. If you don’t see the pattern (the difference between numbers) in the first 30 seconds, move on. Come back later. Wasting time here can be your mistake.
  • Coding-Decoding: These questions are simple if you have done good practice. Once you know the alphabet position (A=1, Z=26) and the trick (like adding a fixed number), you’re done. Write down the A-Z positions once or twice. Practice 10 coding questions a day to make the decoding process automatic in your mind.
  • Syllogism: This is the one topic where you must use a proper method (like Venn Diagrams). Draw 5 random Venn Diagram examples (e.g., “Some Pens are books, No book is paper”). If you can quickly see the conclusion, you’ve mastered it. We suggest you not do any guesswork.
  • Blood Relations & Direction Sense: Confusion happens when you try to solve these mentally. Always draw a diagram! Use simple symbols (+ for male, – for female) for Blood Relations, and a simple North-South map for Directions. A small drawing is your insurance against major errors.

SSC CHSL English Language Practice Tests

English is about recalling grammar rules and remembering words. A little bit of focused revision here gives you huge scoring power.

  • Error Spotting: This checks your foundation in grammar. The questions usually target common mistakes in Tense or Subject-Verb Agreement. Quickly review the 15-20 most common rules you’ve learned. Knowing what the examiner is looking for helps you spot the error faster than anyone else.
  • Cloze Test: This tests your general understanding of the passage. It’s not just vocabulary; it’s about the flow of the story. Read the whole passage once before filling in any blanks. If the passage is about the past, choose the past tense verb. Context is everything here.
  • Synonyms & Antonyms: These are simple memory tests. Don’t try to learn new words. Only revise the high-frequency words you have already learned from previous year papers. Use flashcards or your notes. These are 3-4 easy bonus marks if your memory is fresh.
  • Active-Passive Voice: These are pure rule-based questions. There’s a specific pattern for how the verb changes with tense. Practice these questions until the conversion becomes automatic. Aim for 100% accuracy here, as there is very little chance of error if you know the rule.
  • Para Jumbles (Sentence Arrangement): This tests your logical thinking. You need to find the starting sentence and the connecting words (like but, however, therefore). Always look for the general opening sentence first. Then, look for sentences that link ideas. Practice 5 jumbles, focusing only on the connecting words.

SSC CHSL General Awareness Practice Tests

This is the least time-consuming section. You either know the answer or you don’t. You just need revision and a little practice. For that, you can attempt our free topic tests and weekly current affairs quizzes.

  • Indian Polity: Polity is one of the most important topics of the SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam. Focus on Articles, Fundamental Rights, and the main Constitutional bodies. Dedicate 10 minutes every day to quickly reading your short notes on these topics. They are facts that will not change.
  • Current Affairs (Last 6 Months): This is the most current information you need. Focus on topics like Awards, Sports Events, and Government Schemes. Don’t read a newspaper today; revise it on a weekly or monthly basis. Go through the notes if you have made them. Look for national headlines. For that, you can attempt our free weekly current affairs quizzes.
  • History (Modern India Focus): The Freedom Struggle, key leaders, and important dates are critical. Use a timeline approach. When did the Quit India Movement start? Who was the Viceroy? Focus on these high-value facts to stop mixing up dates and events.
  • Geography (Physical & Indian): Questions on Rivers, Dams, and National Parks are common. Look at an Indian map. Visualize the location of the major rivers and parks. Visual memory is much stronger than just reading text.
  • General Science (Basics): Don’t go deep! Just revise the basics: the Human Body (Vitamins, Diseases), basic Chemistry (Acids, Bases), and Physics (Units and Laws). Simple facts from everyday life are what SSC asks. A quick review of your class 10 science notes is enough.
