Strategic SSC CHSL 30-Day Study Plan: Week-wise

As we know the preparing for the SSC CHSL exam in 30 days is not an easy task. Planning for the preparation for these days can be tough, because you need to complete your syllabus, practice, and revision in 30 days. To help you in your preparation in 30 days, we have provided a plan that is divided into two parts. In the first part, you will know how to start your preparation, and in the second part, you will know how to focus on practice and revision. To attempt the exam effectively, follow a study plan that allows you to prepare systematically. To simplify your study, we have provided a week-by-week study plan that outlines what you should focus on in each week.

PART 1: Plan Your 15 Days to Complete Your SSC CHSL Syllabus

Here we have provided part 1, which will help you to know how to complete your syllabus in 15 days, which is also divided into two weeks. As we know that you have 15 days to cover your syllabus. We also know that just preparing theory will not be enough to crack the exam. If you really want to prepare for the exam in 30 days, then you should focus on the theory and practice of a particular topic. Your main motive should be to clear the cut off. For that, you should start your preparation from basic topics and plan your day accordingly for your practice.

As per the experts, if you want to complete your preparation in 30 days, you should study 12 hours a day, which should include studying a topic from each section and practicing that topic too. Along with that, attempting a full-length mock test should be a mandatory step.

How to utilize your day in these 15 days?

Most candidates don’t know how to utilize a day for preparation. They don’t know how many hours they should spend on a particular section. Below, we have provided the breakdown of a day into hours for each section.

Sections ->EnglishGeneral AwarenessQuantReasoningMock Test + Analysis + Revision

Analysis: 30 Minutes
Revision of the same day: 2 Hrs

Now we have divided the plan into two weeks, in which you will know important topics, what to focus on, which topic you should cover in a particular week, etc.

Week 1: Build Foundation & Basic Practice (Days 1–7)

As this is your starting phase for the SSC CHSL exam preparation, your goal should be to clear concepts, identify weak areas, and practice basics. Before starting the preparation, you should go through the syllabus and exam pattern. After that, you should know the most scoring topics. First, try to understand their basics, start solving basic-level questions, and move on to the level of questions that SSC asks in the SSC CHSL exam. Below, we have mentioned those topics that are most scoring, so start your preparation with these topics.

  • Quantitative Aptitude: Simplification, Number Series, BODMAS, Averages, Percentage
  • English Language: Reading Comprehension, Error Spotting, Synonyms/Antonyms
  • Reasoning: Coding-Decoding, Analogy, Series, Directions
  • General Awareness: Static GK, Polity, Geography basics (1 hour daily)

Tip: Make a notebook in which you can mention your mistakes and important facts. That notebook will help you during your last days of the exam and in the fourth week for revision purposes.

Week 2: Strengthen Core & Move to Advance Practice (Days 8–14)

As you have gone through the basic concepts and most scoring topics of the SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam. Now, this time is to focus on other topics and practice them. Along with that, you have to focus on revision too.

Goal: Move to moderate-level questions and learn time management tricks.

  • Quantitative Aptitude: Profit & Loss, Time-Speed-Distance, Algebra, Data Interpretation
  • English Language: Cloze Test, Sentence Improvement, Para Jumbles
  • Reasoning: Blood Relation, Syllogism, Venn Diagram
  • General Awareness: Current Affairs (last 6 months), Science basics

Strategy: Time your questions. Build the habit of solving 25 questions in 10–12 minutes.

PART 2: 15-day Study Plan for Revision and Practice

Now you have completed your syllabus, and along with that, you have done a little practice too. In part 1, we mentioned that you have to practice a mock test a day. We hope that you have done that, and maybe you are near the previous year’s cut off. But just being near the cut off is not enough. You can crack the SSC CHSL 2025 exam only when you can clear the cut off. So, in part 2, your main motive should be to score at least 5-10 marks extra from the previous year’s cut off. Here we have again divided the next 15 days into 2 parts. So that you can know how to utilize the next two weeks effectively so that you can clear the cut off.

Week 3: Attempt, Analyze, Revision, and Practice (Days 15–21)

Mostly toppers use week 3 in practice and revision. You are advised not to take only a full-length mock test; if you really want to boost your preparation, then you should first take sectional tests. In the first and second weeks, you have already taken the topic-wise tests.

Goal: Develop a mock-to-mastery strategy, close knowledge gaps.

  • Quantitative Aptitude: Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry, Mixed Practice
  • English Language: Practice 2 RCs/day, One-word Substitution
  • Reasoning: Puzzle Types, Mixed Logic Sets
  • General Awareness: Revision of Static + Current Affairs
  • Mock Test: 3 Full Mocks + 3 Sectional (rotate subjects)

Week 4: Final Lap — Simulate the Real Exam (Days 22–28)

As of now, you have done a lot of practice and revision. Now your main goal should be to make your preparation stronger. For that, you should attempt a mock test a day and do its deep analysis. Focus on revision with your notes and flashcards.

Goal: Peak performance through simulation, revision, and repetition.

  • Daily Revision Slots: Revise Your Notes + Flashcards, if you have made
  • Mock Test: 1 Full Mock Every Day (same time slot as exam)
  • Time Management Practice: Learn When to Skip vs Solve
  • Analysis: Carefully Review Your Mock Test; 1 Hour: Focus on Wrong Questions

Final 2 Days (Days 29–30): Utilize Them Smartly

Only two days are left for the exam, and these two days are the most important. Utilizing these days effectively is most important. Below, we have mentioned important tasks that you can do these days.

Don’t over-study.

  • Light revision only.
  • 1 mock on Day 29 (ONLY if you feel energetic).
  • Eat well, sleep 8 hours.
  • Revise shortcuts, formulas, important pointers, etc.
