SSC CHSL 2023 – Free Preparation for English Comprehension

The Staff Service Commission (SSC) Common Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Exam 2023 notification is soon to be released. We will keep you in the loop so keep your eyes glued to our blog and website. English Comprehension is included in both Tier I & Tier II Exams. In Tier I, there are 25 questions from the English Comprehension Section of total 50 marks. In Tier II, there are 40 questions of total 120 marks. Let’s have a look at the pattern of the examination.

Exam Pattern of the SSC CHSL 2023

The SSC CHSL Exam is conducted in 2 stages: Tier I & Tier II. Let us have a quick peek at the pattern of the SSC CHSL Examination.

  • The mode of examination is online.
  • Tier I comprise only objective questions.
  • In Tier II, Paper I  Session II there will be a skill test.
    • The skill test includes a Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) or Computer Proficiency Test (CPT),
    • The document verification process includes verifying the eligibility criteria, educational qualifications, and other details provided by the candidate.

  • Tier-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Comprehension in Tier-I.
  • In Tier-I, there will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer.
  • There is no sectional cut-off in Tier I.
