SIDBI will conduct the SIDBI Grade A Phase 1 or Prelims Exam on 6th September 2025. You have 53 days left to prepare, so you must start your preparation. Clearing the SIDBI Grade A exam secures you a post as an Assistant Manager (Grade A) in the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). A a Grade A officer, you’ll be directly involved in Financing and supporting MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises), implementing government schemes for SME growth, and promoting entrepreneurship and innovation. In short, you’ll get an opportunity to support India’s economic development from the grassroots level. Step-by-Step Selection Process to Plan Your SIDBI Exam Preparation

The selection process has three phases:

Phase I – Online Screening Test

Single paper with 7 sections, totaling 200 marks.

Candidates must clear the cut-off set by SIDBI to qualify for Phase II.

Qualifying Sections: English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and Computer Knowledge

Merit Sections:

  • General Awareness (with focus on Banking, Economy & Social Issues)
  • MSMEs: Policy, Regulatory, and Legal Framework
  • Finance & Management (focused on MSMEs)
  • Stream-Specific Test

Only marks from the Merit Section are considered for shortlisting to Phase II.

Difficulty level may differ between Grade A and Grade B exams.

Phase II – Online Examination

  • Two papers, a total of 200 marks.
  • Candidates meeting the cut-off will proceed to the next stage.

Phase III – Interview

  • An interview of 100 marks.
  • Marks are also given for:
    • Achievements in extracurricular activities (District/State/National level).
    • Awards/recognition in service (must provide documents).

Additional Assessments

  • After Phase II, a Psychometric Test or similar may be conducted to evaluate:
    • Personality
    • Communication skills
    • Problem-solving ability
    • Efficiency
    • Willingness to work anywhere in India
  • Test results may be shared with the interview panel.

Final Selection

  • Based on the combined performance in Phase II and the Interview.
  • Applies to posts of Assistant Manager (Grade A) and Manager (Grade B) in General/Specialist Streams.

SIDBI Grade A Phase I Exam will be conducted on 6th September 2025. How does this plan work? SIDBI Grade A Phase II Exam will be held on 4th October 2025. How does this plan work? The Phase II includes two papers: one Descriptive English Test and one MSME & Finance paper (objective + descriptive). This 4-week plan (starting from week 9 to week 12) pays attention to building your writing, critical thinking, and advanced domain knowledge.
