SEBI 2022 Phase 1 Exam Pattern (Prelims)

(on-line screening examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each),

Paper 1 – 100 Marks with a Duration of 1 hour having MCQs or Multiple-Choice Questions on Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English & GA with some questions on the financial sector.

Paper 2 – 100 Marks with a Duration of 40 minutes having Multiple-Choice Questions/MCQs on Commerce & Accounting, Companies Act, Finance & Management & Economics.

Note:

• As per the Negative marking scheme, 1/4th marks will be deducted for any wrong answer marked or given in both Paper 1 and Paper.
• Cut-off of minimum 30% for Paper 1 (no sectional cut-off will be there), whereas a cut-off of minimum 40% for Paper 2 in Phase 1 is required.
• Candidates would need to secure separate cut-off in each paper as mentioned above as well as aggregate cut-off marks of 40% in Phase I exam to be shortlisted for Phase 2.
• Marks obtained in Phase 1 shall be used only for shortlisting the candidates for Phase 2 examination process and will not be counted for final selection of the candidates.

SEBI Grade A Exam Pattern For Phase I

SEBI Grade, A 2022 Phase I Exam will have two papers: Paper I and Paper-II. Both the papers will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Paper 1 will be common for all the streams whereas the exam pattern of Paper 2 will vary according to various disciplines. Both the papers will be of 100 marks.

SEBI Grade A Phase-1 Exam Pattern

1. An online examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each. 

2. Paper-1 will be of 60 minutes (1 hour) duration and common for all streams. 

3. Paper-2 will consist of Multiple-Choice Questions, the duration of each section is 40 minutes. 

4. The Aggregate Cut-off to be scored is 40%.

5. There shall be a negative marking of ¼th mark for both Paper-1 & 2.
