Reality of SBI PO’s 10 Lakh Package

SBI PO’s 10 Lakh Package: Many are confused about how much is a SBI PO is paid by the bank monthly. Some assume the yearly package based on the basic pay and don’t realise there are allowances on the top of it.

And some don’t realise that cuts are made via the provisions of provident fund and income tax. So, what’s the net salary? Can SBI PO job pay as much as MBA finance or marketing degrees do from good colleges?

The answer is yes. But you should be aware of how you can reach there once you land a job at the largest lender of India called the State Bank of India.

So, the best way to settle this is by looking at an actual salary slip of an SBI employee.

Updated SBI PO Salary Slip as per new hikes in basic pay

If you look at the slip you will be able to see how much is your net salary is at the end of the month.

Net Salary Calculation

Salary DetailsAmount
PF Contribution4196
PF’s Arrears1434
Professional Tax300
Contributory Pension Fund 5,371
Total Deductions11,301
Net Salary62,392

So, the annual package currently for SBI PO is Rs. 73,692×12 = Rs. 8,84,304

If it’s this much then is the claim of 10 lakh per annum not credible?

No. You can achieve the 10 lakh package once you give the internal exams which are conducted every year.  Most banks also provide promotions if you acquire JAIIB & CAIIB diplomas from Indian Institute of Banking and Finance. In the case of SBI, once you pass these exams your salary can potentially be raised by at least 10,000 per month and when that happens, your annual package is now worth 10 lakhs.

SBI PO’s 10 Lakh Package can be reality.
