SBI Apprentice: Total Seats, Reservation, Selection Process, Disclaimers

SBI Apprentice Exam 2021: The State Bank of India recently has announced the recruitment notification for 2021 apprentice posts against advertisement no. CRPD/APPR/2021-22/10 and has revised the number of vacancies to 6,100.  

The last year’s vacancies have been cancelled and SBI will refund the fee paid by the registrants. Read this article to know all about the state-wise new vacancies, selection process, and for more.

Reservation for Economically Weaker Section (EWS)

It is governed by Office Memorandum no. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31.10.2019 of Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievance & Pensions, Government of India. 

Reservation Policy for various categories:

The reservation under various categories will be as per prevailing government guidelines. 

List of all the abbreviations used:

• SC – Scheduled Caste;
• ST – Scheduled Tribe;
• OBC – Other Backward Classes;
• EWS – Economically Weaker Section;
• UR – Unreserved Category;
• LD – Locomotor Disability,
• VI – Visually Impaired;
• HI – Hearing Impaired;
• D&E- includes PWDs as mentioned in clause d & e of section 34(1) of the Rights of Persons with disabilities Act 2016 i.e., Autism, Specific Learning Disorder, Mental Illness and multiple disabilities.

Selection Process for SBI Apprenticeship Applicants 2021

The applicants will have to go through two rounds of testing: (I) Online written test and (II) Local language test.

Other exam guidelines:

Negative marking will be there for every wrong answer. 

The questions asked will be bilingual (English and Hindi,) except for the general English test.  

Merit list will be declared state wise and category wise.  

There are no minimum qualifying marks for any individual subject.

The disclaimer issued by the SBI regarding SBI Apprentice Exam 2021:

In case it is detected at any stage of engagement of apprentice that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), indulge in unfair practice in the process, his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is/are detected even after engagement, his/her training is liable to be terminated. Decisions of Bank in all matters regarding eligibility, conduct of written examination, other tests and selection would be final and binding on all candidates. No representation or correspondence will be entertained by the bank in this regard.
