RRB Clerk Prelims exam is just round the corner. Hopes of a lot of Banking Aspirants are fixed on this exam, and why not! This exam doesn’t have English section making it a bit easy for aspirants who are not so good in this section. Also, this exam doesn’t have an interview, making the selection process limited to the performance in the Mains exam. With the Prelims exam being conducted in just a couple of days, we are providing you with the last minute tips, following which will help you to make the best of this remaining time. Keep this in mind: all the concepts you have understood, all the practice you have done, all the formulas, shortcuts you have memorized/ practiced, it all will be tested now. And now is not the time to panic, rather it’s the time to optimize your performance so that you can give your best in the exam and come out with flying colors.

Visit Your Exam Centre Beforehand

This might sound unnecessary, but unless you have been to your exam centre a lot of times and are comfortable with its location and transportation facilities, you might want to take a stroll over there. This may save you a lot of time and stress on the actual exam day.

Revise Imp. Topics and Formulas

As mentioned above, now is the time to revise all the important topics of RRB Clerk which you have prepared day and night. Obviously, now is not the right time to revise the complete syllabus but you can have a look at the important ones. Also, revise all the important formulas, shortcuts, tricks. Don’t use any shortcut if you don’t understand its logic as sometimes there can be a small twist in questions and the same shortcut can lead to an incorrect answer.

Don’t Take Stress

Whatever was in your hands, you have already done it. A little bit stress is fine as it keeps you alert. But taking too much stress at this point in time will not help you, rather it will jeopardize your performance in the exam. By staying calm you can give your best in the exam.

Take a look at the Exam Pattern

You might find this tip clichéd, but remember: even experts make mistakes. It’ll take only a couple of minutes to go through the exam pattern but do it. This step will ensure that there is no confusion in the examination hall.

Manage Your Time Wisely

Negative marking is there in this exam, so you need to be sure how confident you are in guessing the answer of a question. Keep guess-work limited to a couple of questions and that too when you’re confident about the guess-work. Be cautious as in how much time to spend on a question before moving to another one. Don’t take any question on your ego. Remember: there will be a mix of easy, moderate and difficult questions. Your job is to answer all the easy and moderate questions correctly.

Sleep Tight & Don’t Take Any Mock Test One Day before the Exam

It’s essential for your brain to take proper rest for it to give its best on the exam-day. Take a proper sleep the day before the exam. And don’t take any mock test the day just before RRB Clerk Prelims exam.

Reach the Exam Centre well in advance and Follow Instructions and Guidelines

Reach the exam center well in advance to mitigate the risk of traffic jam or the lack of last mile connectivity option. And last but not least, follow all the instructions and guidelines once you are inside the exam centre.

To Conclude,

You have already done the heavy lifting! Now is the time to showcase it. Focus on the below:

  • Trust your preparation and focus on the revision of essential formulas and topics.
  • Prioritize logistics by knowing your center and getting a full night’s sleep.
  • On the day, manage your time wisely, tackle the easy questions first, and avoid taking any question on your ego.
  • Stay calm; excessive stress is your biggest competitor right now.

Follow these last-minute tips, adhere strictly to the exam instructions, and walk into the examination hall with confidence. Give your absolute best, and you are sure to come out with flying colors!
