The RBI Grade B Phase 1 exam for DR (General) is scheduled on 18th October 2025. That means you now have only 8 days left! Out of these 192 hours, every single hour of your study session must be used effectively. So, should aspirants go through the entire syllabus and prepare each topic one by one, picking and choosing carefully? Many aspirants make this mistake. They become flustered and think that ‘I have not prepared that topic,’ and ‘what if a question comes from it?’ So, their minds get distracted. But, at this stage of revision, the ideal way is not to panic. These last days are meant so that whatever you have prepared, you solidify it, and practice under conditions similar to the real exam. The 8-day strategy that we are sharing with you today is fully capable of helping you accomplish this goal. The tests and resources included with it also complement this, which will boost your confidence level and help you maximize your Phase 1 score.
Without further ado, let’s start discussing the day-wise revision strategy, with the best resources, to save hours of guesswork and make sure your preparation is fully focused and completely result-oriented.
It’s recommended to start your last week with a full-length RBI Grade B Phase 1 mock test. And, while doing so, recreate the real exam environment strictly, switch off distractions, time yourself, and attempt the paper like the real exam.
After completing the test, look back at your mistakes and learns from them carefully. Revise all the important topics and look for the topics where you still make mistakes, be it in Quants, Reasoning, English, or GA, and work on them.
For GA, revise current affairs of the last 5 to 6 months, using Bazooka and PIB Sutra. These resources smartly cover all the important RBI updates, government schemes, and major economic news. A 30 to 40-minute session daily will definitely keep your General Awareness fresh.
Dedicate this day fully to the topics that are of most scoring in Quants and Reasoning.
For English, revise grammar rules and commonly tested error types. Keep GA light, just a quick skim through Bazooka or Vishleshan analysis.
Take another full-length mock test, but this time, focus on timing and section-wise strategy. Forget perfection, and focus on correct answers and smart attempts.
After the test, revise GA rigorously, paying attention to RBI circulars, economic indicators, and government schemes. Even 40–50 minutes can make a huge difference.
Practice switching quickly between sections. Attempt 10 to 15 questions from your weak areas in Quants and Reasoning to prevent repeating mistakes.
On day 4, you should pay attention to the mastery of English language:
Spend 30 minutes on GA, focusing on schemes and updates that are often repeated in RBI exams. Evening time can be dedicated to mock test analysis and checking where you lost marks and why.
This is your correction day. Don’t attempt anything new. Focus entirely on topics and questions you struggled with in previous mock tests.
This day is about targeting weaknesses and not exploring new topics.
The focus today is on the exam strategy that you’ll embrace. RBI Grade B Phase 1 has sectional timing, so you must know how to attempt questions efficiently.
By evening, prepare your exam day logistics, check your admit card, ID proof, stationery, and exam center route.
Today should be light and calming. Avoid heavy study.
Sleep early and eat light. Hydrate properly. Your mental clarity and composure on exam day will matter more than last-minute cramming.
On the day of the exam:
Don’t forget, it is your mindset that can elevate or ruin your performance. So, you must answer every question with full alertness and unwavering composure. And one more thing, avoid discussing the paper after participating in the exam, as it can act as confidence-shattering, and save your energy for Phase 2 exam preparation.
All the points discussed above have been compiled in capsule form below so that you can easily follow all the tips while revising. If you follow this 8-day strategy with full dedication, you will be able to further strengthen your preparation, fill yourself with confidence, and give your best possible performance in the exam.
