Understanding LPT (Language Proficiency Test)
The state for which you are applying plays an important role in your application. The number of vacancies in state matters, but what matters more is the LPT (Language Proficiency Test) factor. As per the official notification, The candidates provisionally shortlisted from the main on-line examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned as detailed below). LPT is Mandatory and is Qualifying in Nature

Decision of the Bank in this regard, shall be final. Biometric verification and LPT are qualifying in nature and the final selection will only be based on performance in main on-line examination.
However, the positive aspect is that LPT is qualifying in nature. That means you just need to pass the test.
