SC/ST 33 years (Relaxation by 5 years)
OBC 31 years (Relaxation by 3 years)
Persons with Disabilities 38 years (Relaxation by 10 years for Gen/EWS)41 years (Relaxation by 13 years for OBC)

43 years (Relaxation by 15 years for SC/ST)

Ex-Servicemen To the extent of service rendered by them in the Armed Forces plus an additional period of 3 years subject to a maximum of 50 years
Widows/divorced women/ women judicially separated who are not re-married 38 years (Relaxation by 10 years)
Candidates domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 33 years (Relaxation by 5 years)
Candidates having work experience in the Reserve Bank of India To the extent of several years of such experience, subject to a maximum of 3 years

RBI Assistant Eligibility – Educational Qualifications

Candidates interested in applying for the RBI Assistant Exam must meet the following educational requirements:

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks is required. For SC/ST/PWD candidates, passing marks are sufficient.
  2. Ex-Servicemen candidates must either be a graduate from a recognized university or have passed matriculation or an equivalent examination in the Armed Forces and have served for at least 15 years.
  3. If applying from a particular state or region, candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the regional language of that area.

RBI Assistant Eligibility – Scheme of Selection

The RBI Assistant selection process comprises three stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination
  2. Main Examination
  3. Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
