Railway Group D Result 2026 has been officially announced by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) for the CEN 08/2024 Level 1 recruitment examination. Candidates who appeared in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) can now check their qualifying status, zone-wise merit list PDF, cut-off marks, and scorecard through their respective regional RRB websites. The result determines the candidates shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process, i.e., the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Railway Group D Result 2026 Released

The Railway Recruitment Board has declared the Railway Group D Result 2026 on 1st July 2026 for candidates who appeared in the CBT conducted for 32,438 vacancies under Level 1 posts. These vacancies include positions such as Track Maintainer, Pointsman, Assistant Loco Shed, Assistant Operations, Helper/Assistant, and Assistant TL & AC.

The CBT examination was conducted from 27th November 2025 to 10th February 2026 across various shifts nationwide. More than 1.08 crore candidates participated in this recruitment examination, making it one of the largest recruitment drives conducted by RRB.

Latest Updates on Railway Group D Result 2026

Results for six RRB zones have been released so far.
Zones released include Bhubaneswar, Prayagraj, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, and Ranchi.
Results for the remaining zones are expected to be published shortly.
Zone-wise cut-off marks have been released along with the result PDFs.
Individual scorecards are available from 6 PM onwards.

Minimum Qualifying Marks for Railway Group D 2026

To remain eligible in the CBT stage, candidates must secure the minimum qualifying percentage prescribed by RRB.

Meeting the minimum qualifying marks does not guarantee selection, as final shortlisting depends on the zone-wise cut-off.

What Happens After Railway Group D Result 2026?

Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the merit list will proceed to the next stages of recruitment.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

The PET is qualifying in nature. Candidates must complete the physical tasks prescribed by RRB within the specified time limits. Separate standards are applicable for male and female candidates.

Document Verification (DV)

Candidates shortlisted after PET will be required to produce original documents, educational certificates, category certificates, and valid identity proof.

Medical Examination

The final stage includes a medical fitness test where candidates must satisfy the prescribed medical and visual standards for the post.

Railway Group D Score Normalisation Process

As the CBT examination was conducted over multiple shifts, RRB follows a percentile-based normalization process to maintain fairness.

Key Points About Normalisation

Scores are converted into percentile values.
Percentile scores range from 0 to 100.
The normalized score reflects performance relative to candidates of the same shift.
Merit lists are prepared using normalized scores instead of raw marks.
Candidates with the same raw marks may receive different normalized scores depending on shift difficulty.

Both raw marks and normalized marks are displayed in the Railway Group D Scorecard 2026, but the normalized score is considered for ranking and shortlisting.
