How to Solve Puzzles Quickly in IBPS SO 2025?

To solve the puzzle question quickly, follow the tips provided to you below:

  1. Use a tabular or grid-based approach to track information:
    • Use tabular formats, floor diagrams, or circle lines based on puzzle type.
  2. Start with the direct clues (fixed days/slots):
    • Always start by writing down the confirmed facts and the ones that give you an absolute position (e.g., “A sits at the first position” or “Monday morning slot is taken by X”). These will lead you to your puzzle solution.
  3. Eliminate wrong options using constraints.
  4. Use placeholders for uncertain data and adjust as clues intersect.
  5. Handle conditional clues carefully:
    • “If A is on Monday, then B is on Wednesday”
    • “C is either on the top or bottom floor”.
  6. Don’t Get Emotionally Attached to Assumptions:
    • If you’re working through one possibility and get stuck or a contradiction appears, drop it quickly. Don’t try to force it—start fresh with the next most certain clue.
  7. Practice daily in a time-bound condition – build speed and accuracy.
  8. Improve your puzzle reading speed.
  9. Practice mixed puzzle sets (puzzle + blood relation, puzzle + inequality, puzzle + coding-decoding).
