Before applying, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria in terms of nationality, age limit, educational qualification, and work experience.

Nationality / Citizenship

Applicants must be:

  • A Citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, or
  • A person of Indian origin who migrated from certain countries (Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries, etc.) with intent of permanent settlement.

The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.work experience* of 18 months or more in Officer cadre in any Public Sector Bank/ Regional Rural Bank on regular basis.Note:Experience in NBFCs, Cooperative banks, private banks, payment banks, small finance banks or fintechs will not be considered


4. Work Experience

  • Minimum 18 months of experience in Officer Cadre in any Public Sector Bank/Regional Rural Bank on regular basis.
  • Experience in NBFCs, private banks, cooperative banks, payment banks, small finance banks, or fintechs will not be considered.

5. Local Language Proficiency

Candidates must be proficient (reading, writing, and speaking) in the local language of the state they apply for the Local Bank Officers in JMGS I post.
