PowerGrid (PSUs) Recruiting Through GATE Total 83 Vacancies

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has released a notification for recruitment to the post of Engineer Trainee for Electrical/ Civil/Electronics/Computer Science with a total of 84 vacancies. PGCIL is a Maharatna company under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, which plays a crucial role in developing the power sector in India.

Power Grid Selection Process

The selection process for the various posts is as follows:

The selection process for Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) for the recruitment of Electrical, Civil, Electronics, and Computer Science Engineers for 83 vacancies.

The selection process of POWERGRID generally consists of two stages:

Computer Based Test (CBT)
Interview
The detailed selection process is as follows:

Computer-Based Test (CBT):
The CBT will be conducted in multiple sessions and will consist of two parts. Part-I will have questions from Professional Knowledge Test (PKT) and Part II will have questions from Aptitude Test. The PKT will have questions from the respective disciplines (i.e. Electrical, Civil, Electronics, or Computer Science). The Aptitude Test will have questions about English, Reasoning, and Numerical Ability.
Interview:
Candidates who qualify for the CBT will be called for an interview. The interview will be conducted by a panel of experts to test the candidate’s technical knowledge, communication skills, and overall suitability for the job.
Final Selection:
The final selection of the candidates will be based on the marks obtained in the CBT and interview, as per the weightage of 85% and 15%, respectively. Candidates who qualify for both the CBT and interview will be shortlisted for the appointment

The important dates for the recruitment process are as follows:

• Closing date for online application: 18th April 2023
• Date of Computer-Based Test: Last week of April 2023 (Tentative)
