NICL AO Probation Period

The candidates who are appointed as Administrative Officer (AO) in the NICL have to go through a 1-year probation period. This period can be extended twice to a further 6 months at a time, resulting in a total of one year extension. The bank has the sole right to extend the probation period of the candidates. During this period, the candidates have to pass the “Licentiate Examination” conducted by the Insurance Institute of India. If the Officers fail to pass this examination during the extended probation period, they will be terminated from the service by the bank.
