Section-wise Most Scoring Topics for IBPS Clerk Exam

The exam is conducted in two stages:

Prelims: The Prelims exam consists of three sections, each 20 minutes long: Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and English. In which the English is of 30 marks and reasoning and numerical ability of 35 marks each. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks, and there will be a sectional cut-off too. The number of questions, mark distribution, and duration of each section are mentioned below.

  1. English Language: 30 questions – 30 marks – 20 minutes
  2. Reasoning: 35 questions – 35 marks – 20 minutes
  3. Numerical Ability: 35 questions – 35 marks – 20 minutes

Mains: The Mains exam consists of four sections: A Total of 190 questions of 200 marks & 160 minutes duration. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks, and there will be a sectional cut-off too. The number of questions, mark distribution, and duration of each section are mentioned below.

  1. Reasoning & Computer Ability – 50 questions – 60 marks – 45 minutes
  2. English Language – 40 questions – 40 marks – 35 minutes
  3. Quantitative Aptitude – 50 questions – 50 marks – 45 minutes
  4. General/ Financial Awareness – 50 questions – 50 marks – 35 minutes

1. Most Scoring Reasoning Topics for IBPS Clerk Exam 2025 (35 marks in Prelims and 60 marks in Mains)
