Tips for the English Language

  • The English paper serves as a qualification; the questions are diverse and may cover any subject. The best plan of action will be to strive for accuracy and quickness because there are no scoring portions. You can improve your accuracy and speed by timing yourself as you take practice exams.
  • Make sure you properly learn the fundamental grammatical principles. You will be able to master several exam topics with its aid. Contrary to vocabulary, the concepts are frequently used again and again, therefore consistent practice will probably result in 10–15 marks on the paper.
  • Review the definitions of the words on lists of frequently requested words for the vocabulary portion. This needs to be a key component of your LIC AAO preparation plan.
  • Before the exam, candidates are encouraged to do at least 1 practice test every other day.
  • Solve old papers and pay attention to the parts you have trouble with.
  • The exam will consist of 30 questions. There won’t be any deducted points for the English component. You should try to spend no more than 20 minutes total on the English segment. In these 20 minutes, you should try to answer more than 25 of the 30 questions. English has a sectional cut off, even if it is only a qualifier, and 25 is a decent number to help you meet it.
  • The Grammar section should be completed first on your essay before moving on to the Vocabulary section because it is the quickest to complete. After that, move on to the Verbal Ability portion, where you can expect to do well. In the final phase, reach the Reading Comprehension section.

Tips for General Awareness

  • Be assured that you can pass the General Awareness part, which consists of just 30 brief questions totaling 60 points. This portion should be attempted in 10 to 12 minutes. It will help you save a ton of time and allow you to finish the paper in under 9% of the time.
  • There will be a negative question, so if you are unsure of your responses, do not attempt it. You can predict if you’re torn between two possibilities; otherwise, stay away from it.
