Here is a list of topics on which comprehension can be asked.
The descriptive section needs special attention and preparation and, unlike other sections, there is no set strategy as to how to go about it. Here are some proven tips and tricks on how to go about essay writing, especially.
Be precise with what you are writing. Make sure that you do not divert from the topic you’re writing on. The quality of the content will surely matter. Thus, it is important to stick to the topic and avoid diversions.
An essay writing generally consists of three paragraphs at least. Even if you have sound knowledge about the topic you are writing on, random writing won’t help unless it is well structured. The 1st paragraph should be introductory, 2nd should be the body and the last paragraph should always be the conclusion.
While writing an essay one should be thorough with basic grammar rules as any grammatical or spelling errors are to be avoided. This test is organized not just to judge your writing skills but also the correct usage of the language while writing.
Some may think writing a complicated language may fetch them a good score. However, this is not the case. An essay should be written in the simplest of language so that your idea and thought should be well understood by whosoever is evaluating it. In short, avoid writing in a language that can be difficult to understand.
If you are writing an essay on something factual then make sure that you use only that information including data or figures that are factual or correct. Incorrect figures will tend to make your essay unreliable. If you don’t have the correct data or reference, avoid mentioning it.
Try to write a brief and interesting introduction in plain English in the first paragraph of the essay, to make the opening compelling. Just an outline of the topic can be explained.
Always try to stick to the word limit, even if you have extensive knowledge about the subject or topic. Exceeding the word limit is not going to help you score good marks, but rather keeping your easy under the word count will certainly do.
An essay can either be for or against the topic. However, make sure that if the subject is related to religion or politics, then try to stay neutral rather than going for or against it. Don’t show a leaning toward a certain ideology or creed. Instead, write like an observer.
