Step 2: Make a Proper Study Plan

The study plan will help you clear the exam if you maintain consistency. A proper study plan for the IBPS SO exam contains weekly and daily study targets. When you have a target to be achieved in a day or in a week, you will be able to cover the syllabus in a limited time. You now have less time to prepare for the exam, so focus on covering important topics more. And with the Prelims exam, you must also not forget to prepare for the Professional knowledge syllabus that will be covered in the mains exam. In the last month, you should have fully focused on the Prelims exam preparation.

Step 3: Solve Previous Year Paper

Solve the Previous year’s Paper of the IBPS SO exam to know the difficulty level. Solving questions from Previous Year Papers will help you in scoring better marks. After solving PYPs, you will know the exam pattern and types of questions asked in the exam. This will lead you towards focused preparation and also keep you motivated. Solving questions from the most repeated topics will eventually lead you towards scoring better in each section.

Step 4: Attempt Topic Tests

Now, try solving questions from each topic of Quant, Reasoning, and English. Candidates who are preparing for Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari have a General Awareness section in the Prelims exam in place of Quant. You need to solve and practice a larger number of questions based on the latest exam pattern. Scoring the maximum marks in the IBPS SO exam is possible if you have practiced enough to attempt each question correctly. Therefore, a time-bound practice of each topic is a must to know your preparation level.

Step 5: Make Short Notes for Revision

The candidates should make notes for last-minute revision from now onwards. When you study some formulas and short tricks that you need to remember for a longer period, make short notes of it. It is always recommended to maintain proper study notes to keep yourself updated on recent trends in questions. Identify which areas need improvement and use flashcards to remember important grammar rules for English. If you are weak in quant or reasoning, your short concept notes will play a major role in improvement.

Step 6: Attempt Mock Tests (for Prelims and Mains)

The IBPS SO exam is focused on Professional Knowledge preparation. The IBPS PO mains exam contains only a specialized subjects syllabus, and the IBPS SO Prelims exam is qualifying. The marks obtained in the Mains exam and Interview are counted for the final selection. But you have more competition in the Prelims exam. Therefore, to appear in the mains exam of IBPS SO, you must qualify prelims. Practice through Prelims exam mock tests. PracticeMock provides 1 free Mock test for the IBPS SO Prelims exam. And, you can also attempt IBPS SO Mains Exam Mock tests for Agricultural Field Officer, IT Officer, and Marketing Officer.

Step 7: Analyse and Improve Your Test Scores

Analyse your scores in the tests and improve your speed and accuracy with each test you attempt. You must dedicate a slot from your study hours every week to attempt a mock test. You should make it your habit to test yourself based on your preparation. IBPS SO can be easy to crack if you maintain consistency in your preparation.
