The IBPS SO Interview 2025 is the final stage of the IBPS Specialist Officer recruitment process. Candidates who clear the Mains exam are shortlisted for this round.
The interview carries 100 marks, and a minimum qualifying mark is required (40% for General, 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD). The panel assesses candidates on professional knowledge, communication skills, confidence, and suitability for the specialist role they’ve applied for (like IT Officer, Law Officer, Marketing Officer, etc.).
Documents are verified during the interview.
The final selection is based on combined Mains and Interview scores. Preparation with mock interviews and current affairs is essential.
There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at a corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

The IBPS SO Mains Admit Card 2025 will be released online at the official website ibps.in. Candidates need to log in using their registration/roll number and password or date of birth to download it. The admit card will have important details like the candidate’s name, category, date of birth, roll number, registration number, exam date, reporting time, and photograph/signature. Only the candidates who have successfully submitted the IBPS SO 2025 application form will be issued the admit card. Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card to the exam centre (entry will not be allowed without it).

On the IBPS SO 2025 exam day, reach the centre at least 30 minutes early with your admit card, valid photo ID, and a recent passport-size photo. This year’s Prelims exam results have been released on 17th October 2025. A total of 1007 vacancies are announced for various SO roles across participating banks. Candidates can access their Qualifying status, scorecards, detail section-wise marks and cut-offs by logging in with their registration number and password at www.ibps.in. Successful candidates will receive provisional allotment based on merit and preferences.
IBPS SO Cut Off 2025 will be released after the completion of each stage of the exam. Firstly, the prelims cut off will be released after the prelims exam, and then the Mains cut off will be released after the mains exam.
