Syllabus for IBPS PO Exam:

The IBPS PO exam comprises three stages: the Preliminary exam, the Main exam, and the Interview. Let’s delve into the syllabus for each stage:

  1. Preliminary Exam:
  • English Language: Reading comprehension, Cloze test, Para jumbles, Fill in the blanks, Error spotting, etc.

  • Reasoning Ability: Syllogism, Inequality, Coding-decoding, Seating Arrangements, Puzzles, Blood relations, Order and ranking, etc.

  1. Main Exam:
  • English Language: Reading comprehension, Grammar, Vocabulary, Verbal ability, etc.
  • Data Analysis & Interpretation: Data interpretation, Data sufficiency, Probability, Permutation and combination, etc.
  • Reasoning & Computer Aptitude: Input-output, Seating arrangement, Puzzles, Computer fundamentals, Internet, Networking, etc.
  • General/Economy/Banking Awareness: Current affairs, Banking and financial awareness, Static GK, etc.
  1. Interview:
    The interview evaluates a candidate’s personality, communication skills, banking knowledge, and general awareness.

  • Sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability

  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer
  1. Main Exam:
  • Duration: 3 hours
  • Total Marks: 200 (Objective) + 25 (Descriptive)
  • Sections: Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, and a Descriptive English section
  • Mode: Online (computer-based test)
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer (except for the Descriptive section)
