IBPS PO Photo and Signature Details

For the IBPS PO/MT 2025 application, candidates must upload a recent passport-sized photograph (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm) in JPEG format, with a file size between 20KB to 50 KB. The photo should be clear, in colour, and taken against a light background without red-eye or glare. A scanned signature must also be uploaded in black ink on white paper, in JPEG format, with a file size between 10KB to 20 KB. Both images must be legible, free from smudges, and follow the official IBPS guidelines, or the application may be rejected during scrutiny. Always preview before final submission.

IBPS PO Notification 2025 Nationality

A candidate must be either –

  • a Citizen of India or
    • a subject of Nepal or
    • a subject of Bhutan or
    • a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
    • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India,

IBPS PO Notification 2025 Educational Qualification (As on 21.07.2025)

  • A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
  • The candidate must possess a valid mark sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/she registers, and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

The IBPS PO 2025 exam consists of three stages: Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam, and Interview. Each stage has a specific format and marking scheme.

Penalty for wrong answers (Prelims + Mains)

There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at the corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

Personality Test For IBPS PO

Candidates who qualify in the Main examination will be called for a Personality Test (self-report). Personality profiles of the candidates will be placed before the Interview panel. The Personality Test will be non-qualifying in nature. However, appearing in the Personality Test will be mandatory for being eligible to appear for the Interview process.

  • Mode: Offline (Face-to-face)
  • Marks: 100
  • Weightage: The final merit list is based on Mains (80%) and Interview (20%) scores.
  • Purpose: Assesses personality, communication skills, banking knowledge, and career goals.

Important Points

  • The Preliminary Exam is qualifying in nature, and its marks are not considered in the final merit list.
  • The Mains Exam and Interview marks determine the final selection.
  • The exam is bilingual (English and Hindi), except for the English Language section.

IBPS PO Salary 2025

The starting basic salary for an IBPS PO is INR 48,480, with an in-hand salary ranging from INR 76,430, depending on allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), and Special Allowances.

IBPS PO Admit Card 2025

The IBPS PO 2025 admit card for Prelims and Mains will be released 7–15 days before the exam date. Candidates must download it from www.ibps.in using their registration number and password. The admit card includes details like exam date, time, and venue. Candidates stay updated on the official website for upcoming events.

IBPS PO Credit History

(i) The candidate applying shall ensure that they maintain a healthy Credit history at the time of joining the Participating Banks. The minimum credit score will be as per the policy of Participating Banks, amended from time to time.

(ii) Those candidates whose CIBIL or other similar agencies has not been updated before the date of joining, have to either get the status updated or produce the NOCs from lender to the effect that there is no outstanding with respect to the accounts adversely reflected in the report, failing which the letter of offer may be withdrawn/cancelled. The final discretion in this regard remains with the allotted Bank.

NOTE:

(1)  This clause does not apply to candidates with no Bank account.

(2)  This requirement is not a pre-condition to apply.

IBPS PO Pre-Examination Training

  • Pre-Examination Training may be arranged in Online Mode to a limited number of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backwards Classes/ Minority Communities.
  • All eligible candidates who opt for and wish to avail of Pre-Examination Training should fill in the relevant column in the online application.
  • By merely attending the Pre-Examination Training, no candidate acquires any right to be selected in any of the Participating Banks mentioned.

IBPS PO Exam Centre 2025

  • The examination will be conducted online in venues across many centres in India. The tentative list of Examination centres for the Online Preliminary examination and those for Online Main examination is available.
  • No request for a change of centre for the Examination shall be entertained.
  • IBPS, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination Centres and/ or add some other Centres, at its discretion, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc.
  • IBPS also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any centre other than the one he/she has opted for.
  • Candidate will appear for the examination at an Examination Centre at his/her own risk and expenses and IBPS will not be responsible for any injury or losses etc. of any nature.
  • Any unruly behaviour/misbehaviour in the examination hall may result in cancellation of candidature/ disqualification from this exam and also from future exams conducted by IBPS.
