Factors Influencing the Expected Cut Off of IBPS PO 2024

The following factors are influential in deciding the cut-off of IBPS PO Prelims 2024:

vacancies: The total number of vacancies for the post of IBPS PO is directly related to the cut off. More vacancies generally result in a slightly lower cut-off while lesser vacancies cause a probable higher cut-off.

Difficulty Level of the Exam: If more difficult questions were asked in the exam, cut-off can be lower. And if the exam was more easier, then cut-off would be more likely to be higher.

Number of Candidates Appearing: In case there are many candidates who are appearing for the exam, it means more competition; thereby the cut-off is more likely to be higher.

Category of the Candidates: Cut-offs differ according to each category for General, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS. Candidates from the reserved category have a lower cut-off as against candidates belonging to the general category.

Sectional and Overall Qualification Cut-offs: IBPS PO Prelims has sectional cut-offs that refer to minimum marks in any of the sections and an over-cut-off, which refers to the total marks in all the sections.
