What are the cut-off marks

The cut-off marks for the IB ACIO exam are decided by the MHA based on various factors such as the number of candidates, the difficulty level of the exam, and the vacancies available. The cut-off marks for different categories are as follows:

  • General: 70 out of 100
  • OBC: 65 out of 100
  • SC: 60 out of 100
  • ST: 55 out of 100
  • EWS: 50 out of 100

If you score equal to or more than the cut-off marks for your category, you will be considered as qualified for the next stage of the selection process.

What are the next steps after qualifying the exam

The candidates who qualify the IB ACIO exam will have to undergo a personal interview and a medical examination. The personal interview will test your personality, communication skills, general awareness, and suitability for the job. The medical examination will check your physical fitness and health conditions. The final merit list will be prepared based on your performance in both the exam and the interview. The selected candidates will be appointed as Assistant Central Intelligence Officers (ACIO) in the Intelligence Bureau (IB) under the MHA.
