Start with understanding one rule at a time. Learn through examples. Take your time. Keep a small notebook to write down important grammar rules and errors.
Focus more on Subject-Verb Agreement, Tenses, and Prepositions, as these form the base of many other topics. Practice 15–20 questions daily on grammar-based exercises like fill-in-the-blanks, error detection, or sentence correction.
These topics are important for the Mains level. Learn the conversion rules and practice sentence transformation regularly. They always appear in error-spotting and sentence-improvement questions.
These are scoring topics if your grammar basics are clear. Read each sentence carefully and try to find errors based on subject-verb, tense, article usage, and modifiers. Practice sets from previous year papers and mark the rule for each correction you learn.
RC is the most important and high-weightage topic, especially in the Mains. It includes inference-based questions, vocabulary, and main idea-type questions. Read editorials from “The Hindu” or “Indian Express” daily. Practice 1 RC every alternate day.
