NICL AO 2025 Preparation Strategy: Phase-wise

Now, as we have analyzed the exam pattern and the kind of topics, we have divided our plan into three phases-

Some important points to keep in mind.

  • We are planning the exam by focusing on prelims and mains as well.
  • We suggest practicing descriptive writing and essays after the prelims.
  • Make sure you are focusing more on prelims as the time is less and the syllabus to cover is more.
  • Those who fall under the specialist category it is suggested that you should primarily focus on prelims, and after that, in the next forty days, focus on your specific subjects.

Phase 1: Foundation Building (first 10 days)

In this phase, we suggest that you build the basics and boost your confidence. During this initial phase, you should focus on accuracy and not on speed. We are giving a chart below in which the day and the topic to be covered that day are mentioned.

  • In this phase, you need to devote time to three main categories, whether you are preparing for the specialist or generalist category, because prelims will have the same pattern for both categories.

  • During this time,  try to work on the speed part, but make sure you maintain speed with accuracy.

  • Focus on mock tests and rigorous revision practices; these things can help you to make a rhythm for the upcoming test.
  • One more thing, try to give a mock test daily during those hours in which your exam is going to be conducted. So that you will get a habit of being active during those timings, which in turn helps you to perform better in the exam.
