The Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India (ECGC) recruits dynamic and qualified candidates for the post of Probationary Officer (PO) every year. It is designed to select candidates who can efficiently handle the responsibilities of a Probationary Officer in a specialized organization like ECGC, which deals with export credit insurance and risk management. The ECGC PO recruitment process consists of two main stages:
Stage 1 – Online Examination
Stage 2 – Interview
Candidates must qualify in each stage to be shortlisted for the final selection. The overall performance in both the online exam and interview will determine the final merit list.
The first stage is an Online Examination, which includes two parts:
The objective test checks your conceptual clarity and aptitude in various subjects, while the descriptive test evaluates your English writing proficiency an essential skill for any officer-level post.
The objective test comprises 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) carrying 1 mark each, with a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
The test is conducted online and is divided into five sections each with separate timing.
