Do’s and Don’ts for IBPS Clerk 2025

Home » IBPS Clerk » Do’s and Don’ts for IBPS Clerk 2025

IBPS Clerk is one of the most competitive exams, as it provides a stable and rewarding career in banking. The exam for this year is going to be conducted on 4th October onwards. In such a scenario, hardly 2-3 days are left, and in such a crucial time period, students commit certain mistakes out of exam panic that sometimes cost them their selection. To help you handle these time periods well, we have come up with a list of DO’s and Don’ts to make the most of these time periods and improve your performance in the exam.

What should you do in the coming 2-3 days?

In this section, we are going to discuss what you should do in these days to improve your performance in the exam.

  • With the IBPS Clerk exam just days away, it’s time to focus on Strengthening Your Basics. Build a solid foundation in Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning sections; if you’ve clarity in the concepts of these sections, you can work on your speed with 90% accuracy almost.
  • Revise mental math and shortcut techniques to save precious seconds during the exam. For English, revise grammar rules and boost your vocabulary.
  • Avoid new topics now, instead, revise what you already know.
  • With the IBPS Clerk exam just around the corner, Practice with Mock Tests and Previous Year Papers proves to be a right practice.
  • Take full-length mock tests to simulate a real exam environment and get accustomed to handling critical exam conditions.
  • After each test, analyse your performance to spot weak areas and work on them. Solving previous year papers helps you understand the pattern, question trends, and difficulty level.
  • This practice of solving PYQs not only boosts your confidence but also improves your time management skills. The choice of the questions to be solved under the given time period will also improve, and hence the scores.

What should you not do in the coming 2-3 days?

  • Do not learn any new topic at the last moment, as learning any new concept requires a lot of practice, 2-3 repetitive sessions of revision, and giving a mock test or a topic test of the same topic. All these things demand enough time and a patient or calm mind, which is otherwise not possible during the last 3-4 days.
  • Do not watch any random YouTube videos. This will only cost you your valuable time and does not add to any productive work. Instead, what you can do is take mini mocks or a topic test; this will help you build confidence, which will, in turn, help in the real examination.
  • Do take care of yourself, get adequate sleep, and avoid any junk food during this time.
  • Do practice at original shift timings, this will make you habituated to being active at that period. But make sure that one day before the exam, you shouldn’t take any mock test so that your mind stays fresh on the D-day.

Conclusion
