  • Prelims Exam is just Qualifying in nature and every candidate has to be qualified in all the three sections by securing minimum sectional cut-off marks along with overall cut-off, that has to be decided by IBPS. After that candidates are eligible to sit in the mains examination.
  • There is a negative marking of 1/4 mark per question for each wrong answer.

In this section 35 questions were asked. The level of Numerical Ability section was Easy to Moderate. One can easily attempt good number of questions if they have practised well.

IBPS Clerk Previous Year Exam Analysis: English Language

In this section 35 questions were asked and the overall level of difficulty was Easy to Moderate. There was one set of Reading Comprehension with 10 questions out of which 1 question was from synonym.

Most of the questions asked from Spelling Error & Error Detection. There were also 5 questions of Cloze Test.

IBPS Clerk Previous Year Exam Analysis: Reasoning Aptitude

The level of reasoning was of Easy to Moderate. 3 Puzzles and Seating Arrangement questions were asked in the exam. The section did not come with any surprises.

One set of moderate level puzzle from “uncertain number of people were sit on a line” was asked. Last year, the questions asked in Puzzles were decreased from 4 to 3. Three questions from blood relation topic was asked as expected.
