Eligibility Criteria for BOM SO Recruitment 2025

A citizen of India, a subject of nepal and bhutan, and a person migrated from the neighbouring counties and east African countries who are willing to permanently settle in India are eligible.

  • Educational Qualification: Graduation / Post-Graduation / Professional degrees (CA, MBA, Law, IT, etc. depending on the post) – varies as per the particular post.
  • Experience: Relevant work experience is mandatory for most posts
  • Date of Certificates should be before 31st August 2025
  • Age Limit: Varies by post (with relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-servicemen)

Salary Structure

The starting basic pay for different scales is as follows:

  • Scale VI: ₹1,40,500 – 1,56,500
  • Scale V: ₹1,20,940 – 1,35,020
  • Scale IV: ₹1,02,300 – 1,20,940
  • Scale III: ₹85,920 – 1,05,280
  • Scale II: ₹64,820 – 93,960

In addition, officers are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) / Lease Rental, City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Medical Benefits, and other perks.

Probation & Service Bond

  • Probation Period: 6 months for all scales
  • Service Bond: Selected candidates must execute a service bond of ₹2 lakh with a minimum service period of 2 years.
