Data interpretation occupies quite a heavy weightage in the LIC AAO exam. The preliminary stage is going to be conducted in less than 15 days. DI requires practice, as sometimes the given data is complex and takes a long time to solve. This can hamper the performance as the exam has sectional timings. To solve this problem, you need to solve as many types of questions as possible. To help you with the same, we have come up with a PDF that contains 50+ Data Interpretation questions.
Data interpretation tests your ability to analyse and interpret numerical data presented in various formats. As already mentioned, data interpretation requires a lot of practice to master this topic. In this section, we are providing a LIC AAO data interpretation questions PDF for LIC AAO 2025 exam.
Six types of DI Questions are mainly asked in the LIC AAO exam. We advised practising these six types of questions for a better understanding of the exam and to crack the exam with flying colours.

| Pie Chart | Circular chart divided into sectors representing proportions. Ideal for percentage-based analysis. | If the total expense is ₹40,000, how much is spent on Transport if it accounts for 15%? |
| Line Graph | Shows trends over time using points connected by lines. Great for analysing growth or decline. | During which month did the company experience the highest growth rate? |
| Table-Based DI | Presents data in rows and columns. Requires quick scanning and arithmetic skills. | What is the average score of Student C across all subjects? |
| Caselet | Data is given in paragraph form. Tests comprehension and logical reasoning. | What is the total number of SUVs produced in the second half of the year? |
| Mixed Graphs | Combines two or more chart types (e.g., bar + line). Tests multi-format interpretation. | Which company had the highest profit in absolute terms? |
Let’s discuss how you can speed up solving DI questions in less time.
We suggest that you learn and master basic calculations using percentage shortcuts and tricks. This will help you in solving questions that are asked from the data given in the questions. Also, make sure to memorise squares and cubes up to 30. Another important thing is to learn and master Vedic maths multiplication and division, as they are very time-saving and easy to learn.
Arithmetic topics such as Percentages, averages, ratios and approximations as the concepts of these topics are highly used in solving questions that are asked on the given data. Use the formula chart of percentage, average and ratio, and approximation while you are practising questions. One more thing use timers and aim to finish one set in 4-5 minutes.
If you’ve practised well, then you know which type of DIs you can solve easily and accurately. So you will choose accordingly, as there is a sectional time limit of 20 minutes. Suppose there are two sets given in the paper, one is a bar graph and another is a pie chart. If you’re someone who can solve the bar graph easily and in less time, then choose that. It will save your time.
Spend 30 secs or so scanning the entire data set and identify what’s being asked, like total, difference and percentage change. Which rows and columns are irrelevant? This helps you to save time that can be wasted on irrelevant data.
